Stacey, We feel your pain. My huband had crps and has undergone many attempts to get rid of the pain. Our last attempt was the 10 day outpatient at Drexal. He reacted very badly from the procedure. I had to take my husband to the ER as he seized up on his left side. Now we are going to try the in patient plasmapharesis for 3 weeks. He also started taking the new med. LDN. We have great hopes for some relief from this med. All he can do is keep up the fight, and fight for others with your horrible disease. Keep trying, there may be some relief with something new. We are sending good vibes your way. Dorsey

Hi, Stacey,

I have the pleasure of being dear friends with your uncle & aunt, John & Anne Yerkes.  Anne and I have been friends and coworkers for 13 years.  She has always been there for me and I could not ask for a more devoted and caring, loving friend.

I wanted to say hello to you and to wish you the very best in your fight against this horrible condition.  I have added you to my prayer list and I know that God will hear my prayers and send His mighty hands to heal you and to bring you comfort.  I hope that perhaps one day I may get to meet you and that we may pray together.  God bless you and yours.

Hi Stacey,   I recently spoke with your mom.  She has been a big supporter of my daughter Desiree, 16 that suffers with RSD, Gastroparesis, POTS, IBD & EDS. We understand & feel your pain.  I continuously pray for u, Desiree and other RSDers.  All of u inspire me and are truly amazing!  We will fight together as one.  Much love, supportive hugs & healing vibes are coming your way. xo

Dear Stacey,I learned of your condition through my new friend, Marlain Wasser. I read your story and it broke my heart. You have a beautiful face and I can tell just by looking at you that you are a sweet lady who does not deserve the suffering you must endure.I'm not in a position to contribute more than prayers right now, but you will have those in abundance. When things are better for me monetarily, I will do what I can to help you.Meanwhile, God bless you.Love,Jackie Mills

My son has crps in his arm as a result of a hockey injury. After seeing MANY specialists the pain clinic gave amitriptyline gabapentin intensive desensitization physiotherapy (incl pool -ouch!). This greatly improved (not cured) the condition so he can resume a 'normal' life. You may consider showing this to your physician to see if it is appropriate for you: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20447749

My best wishes to you Stacey. You are lucky to have a family that tries to understand your pain and supports you. As a ten year sufferer of CRPS I do know the type of pain you have and know how frustrating it can be. I am once again fairly mobile and when people say "You don't look sick" or "suck it up and move on" it can be devistating. Pain is pain and it complicates every aspect of your world.
Keep your positive outlook and your happy spirit. God will do the rest.

STACEY-- WISHING YOU THE BEST AS A 8 YEAR VICTIM OF CRPS/RSDS. UNDIAGNOSED (MISDX'D, TOLD NATURAL PAIN FROM RANCH ACCIDENT AND SURGERY, I KNEW BETTER AS HAVE HAD NUMEROUS INURIES/SURGERIES FROM SPORTS) FOR 5 YRS.  ****ANOTHER POSSIBLE ALTERNATIVE TO CONSIDER IS DR. RHODES OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TX. VISIT http://paindefeat.com/wiki/PDFT/RSDSDiagnosis, ALSO CAN PLUG HIS NAME AND RSDS IN http://www.youtube.com/ TO SEE SOME VIDEO. HE HAS HAD GREAT SUCCESS
WITH HIS PATENTED MACHINES WHICH REACH THE SYMP. NERVOUS SYSTEM, INC.
BLOODFLOW AND TEMPS. TREATING FOLKS FROM ALL OVER THE USA, CANADA, EUROPE AND AUSTRALIA.  I SPENT ALMOST 6 MOS. IN CORPUS THIS YEAR, SAW MANY COME ON STRETCHERS, IN WHEELCHAIRS WHO LEFT VIRTUALLY PAINFREE --WALKING WITHIN 2 WEEKS. MANY BUY A MACHINE (APPROX. $4500.00) FOR HOME USE, MANY ARE IN REMISSION (AS YOU KNOW, THERE IS NO CURE) --MOSTLY DEPENDENT UPON HOW SOON SOME SORT OF TRTMT WAS STARTED, WHEN DIAGNOSED. EVEN IN MY CASE, I HAVE MADE GREAT PROGRESS AS WAS SO FAR, INTO SYMPTOMS FEW REACH,
MUSCLES WERE DYING (BY ITSELF, THIRD WORST PAIN) AND WE HAVE STOPPED THAT AND ANY/ALL ATROPHY--MUSCLES HAVE RTD TO NORMAL. I USE THE MACHINE ONLY, NOT ONE PAIN PILL. DOCS HAD ME AT MAX ALLOWABLE PAIN MEDS AND I WAS AT POINT WHERE I GOT ZERO RELIEF ANYWAY---MORPHINE WAS LIKE 3RD BACKUP FOR BREAK THROUGH PAIN???
WITH ALL THOSE MEDS, MY BODY STILL DEPLETED ITSELF OF ALL VITS, MINERALS, ANYTHING THAT HAD SLIGHEST BIT OF PAIN RELIEF.  HAD NO REAL PROBLEM GETTING OFF MEDS WHILE ON MACHINE AS
NEVER HAD ANY EUPHORIA FROM ANY MEDS AND DOC OVERSAW WEENING OFF THE MEDS ALSO. I AM CERTAIN HIS OFFICE COULD/WOULD PROVIDE YOU WITH NAMES OF PTS FROM YOUR AREA TO SPEAK WITH.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS--MARTY HANSEN
QUALITY TO IT--MANY DO.

Dear Stacey,
I heard about your website from my cousin who works at Pennridge High School. My daughter, Tara, will be a senior there this year.  She was diagnosed with CRPS almost two years ago at Children's Hospital, Phila.  They also call it RND (Reflex Neurovascular Dystropy) at CHOP and they have an intensive physical therapy program there for RND kids.  Tara was in the program last year for 3 weeks for pain that started in her back and spread to her whole right side. It was very difficult, but successful.  This past winter she injured her left shoulder and the RND came back. She just finished another 3 weeks in the program which again has lowered her pain.  We pray every day for a cure for RSD and we will pray for you and your family as you fight this pain together. We hope your fundraiser this weekend will be a success and we would like to contribute by mailing in a check. We will continue to follow your website for updates. God Bless.        The Canning Family

HELLO AND MY NAME IS JEFF BUT I GO BY SKEETER ON FACEBOOK AND I TOO SUFFER WITH CRPS AND HAVE FOR OVER 10YRS NOW AND THROUGH THIS SEASON OF MY LIFE I HAVE BEEN THROUGH MANY TREATMENTS MOST OF WHICH DIDN;T HELP ME AT ALL BUT I WENT 2YRS WITHOUT DIAGNOSIS MAKING IT A LOT HARDER TO TREAT. ONE THING IN MY TIME WITH THIS DISEASE THAT HURTS MY HEART MORE THAN ANYTHING IS TO SEE SUCH A YOUNG PERSON DEALING WITH THIS RELENTLESS PAIN CONDITION. MY DEEPEST PRAYERS GO OUT TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AS WELL AS IT ISN'T EASY AND I ONLY ASK THE LORD FOR THE BEST POSSIBLE OUTCOME IN ALL YOUR TREATMENTS AND STRUGGLES WITH THIS CONDITION AS WELL. MY FAITH IS WHAT HAS GOTTEN ME THROUGH THE LAST 10YRS AS WITHOUT IT I DON'T KNOW WHERE OR WHAT I WOULD HAVE DONE. I CAN SAY NEVER EVER GIVE UP KEEP FIGHTING AS THERE ARE GOOD DAYS AND BAD FOR SURE AS I AM SURE YOU KNOW BY KNOW. AGAIN MY PRAYERS GO OUT TO YOU AND THE WHOLE FAMILY AS THIS DISEASE OR CONDITION DOESN'T DISCRIMINATE SADLY AND EFFECTS NOT ONLY THE PERSON BUT ALL THOSE LOVED ONES AROUND YOU AS WELL. GOD BLESS SKEETER
